Due to the strong undertow on the Pacific Ocean, there is no swimming allowed in the ocean right on Sunset Beach. The soft, clean sand at Sunset Beach is ideal for long walks or an afternoon game of sand volleyball. The resort even provides free use of cabanas with lounge chairs, both poolside and on the beach!
If, however, you are interested in a change pace and want to check out the other side of Land's End (on the Sea of Cortez) and maybe enjoy some water activities, there is a free shuttle service to the Pueblo Bonito sister resorts downtown where you can swim in the ocean and enjoy the entertainment of the world famous Medano Beach.
